Celebrating FHN at Women Deliver
Women Deliver 2023 took place in Kigali, Rwanda in July. Over 6,000 people attended the in-person events and more than 200,000 attended virtually - including 13 FHN members!
The FHN hosted two concurrent events during the conference, the first examined feminist foreign policy and how humanitarianism can be better integrated in its agenda, and the second on how we can reframe colonial risk narratives using feminist perspectives to ensure that WROs working on the frontlines of humanitarian crisis are able to access critical funds and resources.

We are delighted that our sessions at Women Deliver were so well attended. They received wonderful feedback, increased our social media following across all channels and helped forge many new connections. Over 200 audience members attended the FHN’s two sessions, including the former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Throughout the conference, FHN members disseminated FHN’s key advocacy messages to INGOs, donor governments, UN agencies and media outlets via in person meetings, panel discussions and digital communications.
Ahead of the conference members convened at a pre-conference meeting, kindly hosted at the CARE Kigali office, where they were able to connect and prepare for the busy week ahead.
We have created a short video to share some of the highlights from the conference, watch below.
