Feminist inspiration and innovation to overcome exhaustion: A healing, solidarity circle

  • Church Center of the United Nations, 777 United Nations Plaza, New York City (map)

Gaza, Sudan, the climate crisis, restrictions on bodily autonomy, and rising inequality are just a few of the crises in today’s chaotic and unjust world that are leaving many feminist activists exhausted and burnt out. As CSW draws to a close, join us for a moment of healing reflection, collective care and innovative action.

In this session, we invite activists, not-for-profits and movements to join together in solidarity and share their feelings of overwhelm and frustration. As a tonic to these feelings we will share our dreams of a feminist future and inspire each other with our wildest ideas on how to smash the patriarchal, colonial, racist and capitalist systems. We will use feminist restorative techniques and harness our collective energy to sustain us as we continue to push forward.

This session is co-hosted by the Feminist Humanitarian Network and New Women Connectors, and will be a safe space for participants to speak openly, and as such, only feminist activists working with feminist not-for-profits and movements are invited to join. Chatham House rules will be applied.
